Studio Covid-19 and Health Policies for In-Person Lessons
Before attending in-person lessons with Meagan, students will be asked to acknowledge the Health Policies below.
These policies may change at any time as the public health situation evolves.
Please read below for the full policies and contact Meagan in advance of your appointment if you have any questions.
In order to maintain the health and safety of myself, my teacher and the community, I agree to the following parameters, and understand the policies of this office when I attend in-person appointments with Meagan Johnson.
Appointments: Will be spaced such that there is ample time for cleaning and air exchange in between each student.
General health screening: All students should complete a self-screening for symptoms of COVID-19 before each lesson, per the list published by the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html If I have received a positive test result for COVID-19, have been in close contact (as described in CDC guidelines) with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have any concerns about symptoms I am experiencing of any illness, I will contact Meagan Johnson to cancel or reschedule the lesson appointment.
Masks: In following CDC guidelines masks will be optional during lessons when the level of community spread in Marion County is low or medium (“Green” or “Yellow” CDC level). Should that level move to high (“Red”), masking is strongly recommended, especially in the close proximity of an Alexander Technique lesson. Regardless of community spread level, in consideration of my teacher, if I should exhibit symptoms of any illness, I will wear a mask during my lesson. If I have tested positive for COVID-19, am awaiting test results, or am a close contact (as described in CDC guidelines) or have concerns about any symptoms I am experiencing, I will contact Meagan Johnson to cancel or reschedule the lesson appointment. Meagan is willing to mask during lessons upon request. Disposable, surgical-style masks are available in the studio.
Air Circulation: Lessons held indoors at the Studio (4550 Central Ave., Indianapolis, IN, Office 201D) will utilize building HVAC, which has a minimum level of 6 ACH (air changes per hour) and MERV 13 filtration. This applies to voice lessons in the sanctuary as well, which is a large space with adequate room for social distancing and good ventilation. In addition, the Studio office space has a free-standing air purifier for the room that filters particles down to 0.1 microns. Lessons will also be available outdoors in appropriate weather.
Vaccination: Meagan Johnson has been fully vaccinated and received a booster dose for COVID-19. All students are strongly encouraged to receive vaccinations when available to them. Find a vaccination site in Indiana and register at www.coronavirus.in.gov/vaccine/ .
Privacy Policy: Meagan Johnson, LLC does not retain personal health information records.
If you have any questions about these policies, please contact Meagan before attending your appointment in-person.
